A Believable Report
Updated: Jun 10, 2021
Have you ever noticed someone who seemed to spend more time convincing others they were Christ followers rather than living every single day proving it? I have probably been guilty of that myself. When a trial begins, each side delivers their case. The gather statements and present testimonies that influence their plea. They want so desperately to convince the jury that their report is true.
As the end is nearing for the city they lived in for so many years, Lot made a last chance effort to save his entire family by reporting the inevitable doom. Lot's plea fell on def ears as they thought he was only mocking the situation. His report although true, wasn't received because of a lack of evidence. If Lot had taken a stand at other times in his life the outcome would have been different.
It makes a difference in how we live. Each and every day people are reading the pages of our book as it is written. The words on the pages of our lives is the report. How convincing is our report? When people look on us do they know we have a relationship with God? When we come to work after a good service, are they convinced of true change or do they know it won't last? A great example of a believable report would be two men by the name of Peter and John. The following verse give us a wonderful example of what a believable report looks like
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus" Acts 4:13
Lord help us to have a believable report daily. Is your report believable?
